Skin Boosters are probably our most popular treatments that clients of all ages want. It is basically an injectable moisturiser which provides skincare from within. Profhilo® is one of the main brands used within the clinic, but there are others used such as Seventy Hyal, Jalupro and Lumi Eyes.

Most of the Skin Boosters on the market are BDDE-free stabilised injectable Hyaluronic acid (HA) based product for treating skin laxity, skin sagging and signs of ageing. Skin Boosters deliver great results as a treatment on its own or in combination with other aesthetics treatments currently on offer. As a result of the ageing process and lifestyle factors, skin can begin to sag, loose radiance and lose firmness. Although these changes to a client’s skin are perfectly normal, it can still affect self-esteem.

Skin Boosters such as Profihlo® are an amazing anti-ageing treatment designed to give the skin a tightened appearance with improved tone and texture. It is a unique facial remodelling treatment which works to plump out wrinkles rather than just fill them. The high-purity hyaluronic acid used in skin boosters such as Profhilo® is released slowly, stimulating the production of collagen which renews and rejuvenates the appearance of the skin. Profhilo® as well as Seventy Hyal and Jalupro can also help acne scarring, jowling, fine lines and wrinkles and sagging skin.

‘Lumi Eyes’ is a skin booster formulated for purely under the eyes to treat dark circles and under eye laxity. This provides a rejuvenation for the under eye area via mesotherapy instead of a more invasive treatment like tear trough dermal filler. This is also great for candidates not suitable for tear trough filler but still would like their under eyes treated. Lumi Eyes is a PDRN treatment which offers deep hydration and rejuvenation to the eye area by effectively reducing signs of fatigue, dark circles, restoring lost volume, and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.

How often will I need it?

Skin Boosters vary between products:

Profhilo® is recommended to have 2 sessions, 4 weeks apart and repeating this 6-12 months, however some clients only need a singular session once a year after their initial treatment. This is injected via the ‘BAP Technique’ which is 5 injections either side of the face, specifically chosen to give an all over equal dispersion and covering safety zones within the face. Other injection methods may vary depending on specific skincare concern and will be discussed prior to treatment.

Seventy Hyal is reccomened 3 sessions, 4 weeks apart and repeating this every 6-18 months, singular sessions are available. This is injected via the ‘BAP Technique’ which is 5 injections either side of the face, specifically chosen to give an all over equal dispersion and covering safety zones within the face. Other injection methods may vary depending on specific skincare concern and will be discussed prior to treatment.

Jalupro is 2 Sessions, 4 weeks Apart and delivered via Microneedling or Mesotherapy. This can be repeated every 6 months but can last 12-18 months depending on lifestyle factors.

Polynucleotides

Our most recent product that the industry is going wild over are polynucleotides, using salmon DNA, such as Lumi Eyes, Viritan and many other brands to name. Polynucleotides are an injectable bio-stimulator. The purpose of injecting the product is to stimulate our own cells to produce some of the things that we lose with ageing.
